Fish fry

Fish fry is the most simple recipe among the fish dishes. It can be used as starter,but also goes well along with rice. It can be served with salads or some chopped onion. Here I am sharing a recipe which is very easy, even the bachelors can make it tirelessly.

Fish fry

Ingredients:

Fish pieces – 6 to 8

Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tspn

Chilli powder- 1/2 tspn

Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn

Pepper powder- 1/2 tspn

Paste of ginger,garlic and 3 shallots – 2 tspn

Cornflour- 2 tspn

Lemon syrup – 1/2 tspn

Salt

Oil to fry

Method of preparation:

1.Mix together all the ingredients other than fish and prepare a marinade

2.Adjust the salt of marinade as per your taste

3.Marinate the fish with this marinade

4.Keep aside for 20 minutes

5.Take a pan,add oil to it

6.Once the oil becomes hot,add fish pieces to it

7.Fry both sides until it becomes golden colour

8.Garnish it with curry leaves, celery leaves,carrot or onion as per your wish

9.Serve hot.

Prawns Thengakoth Ularth

First let’s see the ingredients for this preparation.

Ingredients:

Onion – 2

Tomato – 1

Ginger- 1 tbsp crushed

Garlic- 6 pods

Green chilli – 2

Malabar Tamarind- 2 small pc

Coconut slices- 3 tbsp

Turmeric powder -3/4 tspn

Pepper powder- 1/4 tspn

Kashmiri chilli powder- 1 tspn

Salt – as per required

Preparation:

1)Boil of prawns:

a.Take cleaned prawns in a bowl

b.Add crushed ginger,coconut slices,half of one sliced onion,malabar tamarind to it

c.Add half a tspn each of salt and turmeric powder

d.Add 1 cup of water and allow the prawns to boil for 8 minutes

e.After the prawns is cooked keep it aside

2)Preparation of masala :

a.Take a pan and add 2 tbsp of coconut oil

b.Add the remaining 1.5 sliced onion to it

c.Add green chilli and garlic pods

d.Add 1/4 tspn of turmeric powder, 1/4 tspn of pepper powder,1 tspn of Kashmiri chilli powder and saute properly

e.Add Tomatoes after the raw smell of the powders are gone

f. Then add our cooked prawns to the prepared masala

g. Add curry leaves and cook for 3 minutes, add salt if needed

h. Our Prawns Thengakoth Ularth is ready to be served.
