Ingredients

  1. Bread Slices – 6
  2. Eggs – 3
  3. Onion finely chopped – 1 medium sized
  4. Tomato chopped – 1
  5. Capsicum, finely chopped – 2 tablespoon
  6. Butter – 2 tablespoon
  7. Oil – 2 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Tomato sauce – 1 tablespoon
  12. Soya sauce – 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Salt – to taste
  14. Coriander leaves, finely chopped to garnish – 1 tablespoon

Method of preparation

  1. Cut the bread slices into small cubes.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and toast the bread cubes till golden and crisp.
  3. Break the eggs to a bowl, whisk and keep them aside.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and add onions. Toss them till they reaches golden brown in color.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and fry for a couple of minutes till mushy.
  6. Now add turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder and pepper powder.
  7. Sauté in low flame till the row smell of the powders are gone completely.
  8. Now add tomato sauce and soya sauce.
  9. Pour in the beaten egg mixture and stir on a medium low flame for about 2-3 minutes taking care to see that they don’t get scorched.
  10. Eggs must not be overcooked. Let it remain juicy so that the flavor induces directly into the bread cubes.
  11. Add in the bread cubes and mix gently.
  12. Finally garnish the bread stumbler with chopped coriander leaves.
  13. You can adjust the pepper powder based on your taste preference.
  14. Transfer the dish to a serving plate and serve it piping hot.
