Sticky dates pudding, also known as sticky toffee pudding, is simply a moist sponge cake made with finely chopped and soaked dates, covered with toffee sauce. You can easily prepare this pudding in under 50 minutes. Finely chopped dates, moist sponge cake and toffee sauce are the main ingredients of sticky dates pudding.
This pudding is an absolute treat for all the sweet tooth, as the sweet comes from both the dates and the toffee sauce over it. The proper way to serve this pudding is to pour warm sauce over the cake. The moist and dark dates cake piece should be covered with hot and sweet toffee sauce. Pureed dates are the main ingredient of this pudding. Dates provide the distinctive flavour, colour and texture to the sponge cake. These dates makes the sponge cake moist. Sticky dates pudding are perfect desserts for parties and holidays. We are using brown sugar in this recipe instead of normal white sugar.
